Davis Calibration Announces Availability of FastQuote 2.0

BALTIMORE – June 8, 2009 – Davis Calibration (DavisCalibration.com), a world leader in the calibration of test, measurement and control instrumentation, announced today the availability of FastQuote 2.0, a substantially enhanced version of their industry acclaimed cost estimating tool for calibration services.

Launched in 2005, the original FastQuote quickly became a popular tool among Davis Calibration’s customers including manufacturing plant managers, quality engineers, procurement professionals and others responsible for calibration. It delivers fast and authoritative information that helps them do their job. Each month the online system processes quote and information requests for thousands of measurement tools and instruments.
FastQuote 2.0
The new version is more robust than ever. The FastQuote 2.0 database now contains calibration information on more than 48,000 instruments from thousands of manufacturers. Built with the latest online application technology, the system provides information-rich user interaction and context sensitive assistance.
The number of steps necessary to complete a quote request was reduced by two-thirds (66%) and the overall speed of the application is greatly increased compared to the previous version.
If the user chooses Davis Calibration, they can refer to the e-mail for complete shipping information and an automated link to create a packing list.
FastQuote 2.0 was released to coincide with launch of the company’s completely revised corporate website.
