Davis Calibration Instruments Adds Universal Height-Measuring Instrument

The Fowler Mestra-Touch combines technology with ergonomic design--Davis Calibration gains optimum height measurement accuracy

BALTIMORE -- April 22, 2005 -- Davis Calibration Instruments, LLC, a subsidiary of JPB Enterprises, today announced its expansion in calibration services, adding a Fowler Mestra-Touch height measuring instrument.

The Mestra-Touch allows for practically unlimited application in any development and manufacturing area. It offers possibilities in measuring various heights, diameters, depths, tolerance indication, squareness deviation and angles and centerline distances. Davis Calibration ’s new reliable height measuring capabilities offer its technicians ease of use and quick performance, assuring quality calibrations and more efficient turn-around-time.

Features include a color touch-screen with embedded technology display as well as accuracy to 400 micro meters. With a measurement range capability of 1000 millimeters, Mestra-Touch has a two-coordinate measuring system, statistical analysis of memorized values and an environmental temperature display.

Because of these features and new innovations such as optimum repeatability of measurements, Davis Calibration ’s investment will guarantee optimum measurement accuracy without being affected by environmental influences.

Davis Calibration ’s new height measuring capabilities seemingly reinforce the impact it has on the calibration industry. “The Mestra-Touch compliments Davis Calibration well by speeding up turn-around-time without compromising pricing,” said John Haines, Davis Calibration Production Manager. “We have expanded our calibration capabilities with several new assets that, coupled with our existing abilities, will continue to establish us as a premier calibration laboratory.”
