Davis Calibration Receives ‘Deal of the Year’ Award
 from Maryland’s ACG

BALTIMORE– November 15, 2007 -- Davis Calibration was honored with the prestigious Maryland Deal of the Year Award at the 3rd Annual Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) event on Nov. 7th. The award recognized the Baltimore company’s acquisition of General Electric’s (GE’s) Instrumentations Services Division, which widened Davis’ North American geographic coverage expanding its scope of operations into the aircraft engine, energy and healthcare industries.

Davis Calibration’s President and CEO Lee Rudow previously explained that this acquisition provided “a unique platform for the execution of our strategic growth initiative.”

The April 2006 acquisition of the GE's Instrumentations Services—a calibration and repair operation based in Duluth, GA., that serves more than 1,000 manufacturers throughout the country—was a key component of Davis’ strategy to deliver global services to the manufacturing, process and life sciences industries. The combined company is the largest instrument calibration provider in the United States, offering a network of 28 coast-to-coast laboratories.

The Deal of the Year Award recognizes companies and individuals who have been successful in their pursuit of corporate growth through mergers, acquisitions, alliances and IPOs. A panel of judges comprised of experienced business professionals determines the recipients.
