Question: How will customers benefit from
Davis Calibration
's acquisition of GE Instrumentation Services?
Answer: Customer benefits have been a driving
force in this acquisition effort. Both organizations
offer very complimentary experience, capabilities and
geographic coverage. Clients of both organizations
will now have access to a more broad array of affordable
services.
- Calibration service in all 50 states, Puerto Rico,
Canada, and Mexico from 30 calibration centers.
- Improve customer service and sales performance
through increased capabilities and capacity.
- Increased coverage of technologies means reduced
cost and quicker turnaround time.
- Sales teams will start working together to help
propose new customer solutions from the combination of
locations that will best service the customer.
- Corporate agreements with larger discounts for
expanded contracts made possible with additional lab
locations.
- Resources and commitment to deploy next-generation
calibration solutions, bringing new and compelling
services to market.
Question: Will GE Instrumentation Services
change? Will Davis Calibration
change?
Answer: GE Instrumentation Services will now
be know as GEIS. Davis Calibration
and GEIS customers will
notice little or no changes except where we can bring the
combined capabilities together to deliver better
capabilities and service as described above.
- No operational changes planned -- GEIS will continue
to run on same systems, with the same Technicians, Sales
and Management Staff.

with the same Technicians, Sales and Management Staff
- GEIS and Davis Calibration
Operational Management will
begin working together to share resources in situations
that will improve customer service. (Most common example
is when subcontracting can be eliminated)
- Both GEIS’s AIMS and Davis’s DATA Track website will
continue to be hosted and operate as normal.
- Quality systems, registrations and accreditations
will be maintained and will not be affected by the
change in ownership.
- GEIS Customers will be contacted when it is
necessary to reassign purchase orders, however for the
near future invoicing will come from GE and current POs
will still be valid.
- All current contracts will be applicable and valid.
There will be no changes in pricing or terms.
Question: Does any contact information
change?
Answer: All phone numbers will remain the
same and will ring to the same locations. GEIS email
addresses will remain the same for the short term. Customers
will be notified when addresses are changed
