Affirmative Action for Veterans
Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era
Davis Calibration, an equal opportunity employer, pledges that
our company policy is to take affirmative action to
employ and advance the employment of qualified disabled veterans of the Vietnam era, and not to discriminate against any employee or applicant because of any individual’s status as a disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam era.
Davis Calibration recognizes its obligation to communicate internally
and externally this action in such a manner, as to foster understanding,
acceptance, and support among its executives, managers, supervisors, and
other employees.
Davis Calibration will ensure that applicants and employees
who are disabled veterans and veterans of the Vietnam era are informed of the
contents of this policy (i.e., having the EEO policy read to a visually disabled
individual or posting the policy on a bulletin board at such a height as to
enable an individual in a wheelchair easy access).
Davis Calibration has implemented an audit and
reporting system to measure the effectiveness of this program. We
are committed to personnel practices which recruit,
hire, train, and promote persons in all job titles.
We make good faith efforts so that personnel actions
are administered without regard to an individual's
status as a disabled veteran and veteran of the Vietnam era,
and that employment decisions are based only on valid job requirements.
Employees and applicants will not be subjected to harassment,
intimidation, threats, coercion, or discrimination for any of the
following activities: filing a complaint; assisting or participating
in an investigation, compliance evaluation, hearing, or any other activity
related to the administration of the affirmative action provisions of the
Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 as amended, or
any federal, state, or local law requiring equal opportunity for disabled
veterans and veterans of the Vietnam era; opposing any act of practice made
unlawful by VEVRAA or its implementing regulations; or exercising any other
right protected by VEVRAA or its implementing regulations.
Equal Opportunity Employment (EOE): Davis Calibration has continuously expressed support and commitment to the principle of equal opportunity employment. It is Davis Calibrations policy to recruit, hire, train, and promote individuals, and to administer any and all personnel actions without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, marital status, veteran’s status, handicap, or disability, in accordance with all applicable laws.
