Davis Calibration - a world-wide business-to-business sales and calibration services organization, is seeking a
Field Service Calibration Technician to work in our customer location in
Pittsburgh (Sommerset), PA. Our ISO 9002 and ISO17025 certified Calibration Laboratory serves hundreds of manufacturing organizations.
Description of Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Calibration and repair of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment with a
strong emphasis on electronic equipment. Other equipment includes, but is not limited to:
- general-purpose test equipment, physical/dimensional, and industrial equipment such as: multimeters, temperature baths, dry block calibrators, RH/temperature, tachometers (optical & contact), resistance decade boxes.
- Perform depot and on-site calibrations as required.
- Management of the test equipment data base to include generating recall notices, initiate out of tolerance notifications, and interaction with the customer quality team.
- Develop calibration procedures and recommend associated standards.
- Complete applicable documentation related to assignments in a timely manner.
- Actively participates in a team environment.
- Comply with all EH&S (Environmental Health and Safety) requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 plus years plus of relevant experience in the calibration / repair calibration of test and measurement equipment.
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communications skills.
- Previous experience working under an ISO9000 and/or ISO 17025 quality assurance program.
- Travel will be required to perform on-site calibrations, some with overnight stays.
- Valid divers license.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Formal advanced training in Metrology (i.e. Military PMEL).
- AS degree in an electronics discipline or equivalent experience.
